Central Banks: Monetary policy meetings planned at the Fed, Bank of Japan, Reserve Bank of New Zealand, Bank of Norway, Bank Indonesia, Central Bank of the Philippines, South African Reserve Bank, and Central Bank of Hungary. Fed Chair Yellen and BOJ Governor Kuroda hold press conferences. ECB President Draghi and Bank of Governor Poloz speak publicly as will Cunliffe of the Bank of England, and Harker, Lockhart, and Mester of the Fed. Minutes from the Reserve Bank of Australia’s Board meeting earlier this month will be published.

Two Japanese Holiday Closures: Respect for the Aged Day on Monday and Autumnal Equinox on Wednesday.

Scheduled U.S. Data Releases: Housing starts, the FHFA house price index, existing home sales, the National Association of Homebuilders housing index, the Kansas City Fed manufacturing index, the index of leading economic indicators, the Chicago Fed National Activity Index and weekly jobless insurance claims, chain store sales, mortgage applications, consumer comfort and energy inventories.

Euroland Releases: Construction output, current account, preliminary estimate for consumer confidence, and preliminary purchasing manager survey results for September.

Members of the Eurozone: The German and French preliminary purchasing manager surveys. German, Spanish, and Irish producer prices. Italian, Greek, Portuguese, and Dutch current accounts. Dutch and French GDP. Austrian industrial production, Spanish trade, and French index of leading economic indicators. Dutch and Belgian consumer sentiment. Belgian business sentiment.

U.K. and Switzerland: Rightmove house price index, CBI surveys of industrial trends and trends distributive trades, and the public sector borrowing requirement. Swiss money growth, trade balance, and government macroeconomic forecasts.

Eastern Europe: Russian and Polish retail sales. Polish industrial production and producer prices. Hungarian current account and Russian unemployment.

Nordic Europe: Danish consumer confidence and retail sales. Icelandic wage costs.

Japan: All industry index, customs clearance trade, department store sales, supermarket sales, machine tool orders, and preliminary manufacturing purchasing managers index.
