Central Bank Activity:  Interest rate policy meetings in Mexico, Taiwan, Romania, the Czech Republic and Israel. The Bank of England’s Financial Policy Committee meets Tuesday.  Minutes of the last European Central Bank will be published, and so will the Bank of Japan’s quarterly corporate Tankan survey.  Governor Zhou of the People’s Bank of China, and Bullard and Mester of the Federal Reserve speak publicly.

Holidays and Calendar Milestones:  Market closures Friday for Canada Day and Hong Kong’s Establishment Day commemorating the 19th anniversary of the former British colony’s handover back to China.  Friday is also the first day of the third quarter of 2016.

Manufacturing Purchasing Manager Surveys:  Caixin’s June survey of China.  Also surveys on Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Taiwan, Austria, Norway, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Sweden, Ireland, Russia, The Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland, Spain, the Czech Republic, Italy, France, Germany, Greece, Britain, Euroland, Brazil, Mexico and the United States.  The Chinese Government’s manufacturing and non-manufacturing PMIs also arrive.

Scheduled U.S. Data Releases:  Revised GDP, personal spending and income, the personal spending price deflator, the Case Shiller house price index, consumer confidence, pending home sales, motor vehicle sales, construction spending, the trade deficit, the Richmond and Dallas Fed manufacturing indices, the Chicago PMI, and weekly observations of jobless insurance claims, mortgage applications, energy inventories, consumer comfort and chain store sales.

Japanese Statistics:  Retail sales, small business sentiment, industrial production, housing starts, construction orders, unemployment, real household spending, consumer prices, motor vehicle production, and consumer confidence.

Other Selected Asian Indicators:  China’s current account, index of leading economic indicators and corporate earnings.  Singaporean and Malaysian producer prices.  South Korean and Hong Kong retail sales and trade balances.  South Korean industrial output, CPI, current account and consumer sentiment.  Indonesian consumer prices.

Australia and New Zealand:  New Australian home sales and New Zealand building permits, money growth, business sentiment and trade balance.

Turkey and South Africa:  Turkish trade and South African money, private credit, and PPI.

Euroland Data:  Economic sentiment, M3 money growth, and bank lending.

Members of the Eurozone:  German, Italian, Portuguese and French consumer confidence.  Greek, Italian, and Spanish producer prices.  Italian, French, Finnish and Irish producer prices.  German, Greek, Portuguese and Irish retail sales.  German import prices and unemployment.  Portuguese industrial production.

U.K. and Switzerland:  British GDP, distributive trades survey, M4 money growth, consumer confidence and current account.  Swiss retail sales, UBS consumption indicator, and KOF index of leading economic indicators.

Nordic Europe:  Swedish trade and producer prices.  Iceland’s CPI, Norwegian retail sales and Danish GDP.

Eastern Europe:  Czech GDP and Hungarian producer prices.

Canada, Mexico and Brazil:  Canadian and Brazilian producer prices.  Brazilian and Mexican trade.  Brazilian consumer sentiment and Canadian raw material prices.
