Central Banks: Interest rate policy meetings in Canada, South Korea, Brazil, Chile, and Serbia. The Bank of Canada will publish a quarter Monetary Policy Report. Fed officials making public appearances in the week included Chair Yellen and District Presidents Bullard and Kashkari.

Good Friday Holiday: Markits will be shut April 14th in a wide range of countries including the U.S., U.K. France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Canada, Mexico, Hong Kong, South Africa, Greece, Australia, Norway, New Zealand, and Norway. Some markets will also observe Maundy Thursday.

Scheduled U.S. Economic Statistical Releases: Consumer prices, retail sales, PPI, monthly federal budget, small business sentiment, JOLTS index of job hires and separations, U. Michigan/Reuters consumer sentiment index, import prices and weekly jobless insurance claims, mortgage applications, chain store sales, consumer comfort and energy inventories.

Japanese Data: The current account, economy watchers index, bankruptcies, machinery orders, machine tool orders, revised industrial production, capacity usage, corporate goods prices, and bank lending.

China: Money and bank lending, consumer and producer prices, the trade balance, and foreign direct investment.

Other Selected Asian Statistics: Indian and Malaysian industrial production. South Korean unemployment and index of leading economic indicators. Singapore’s GDP and retail sales. Indian WPI.

Australia and New Zealand: Australian unemployment and jobs, home loans, consumer confidence, and business conditions and confidence. New Zealand manufacturing purchasing managers index and food prices.

Turkey and South Africa: Turkish current account and industrial production. South African factory output, wholesale turnover, and retail sales.

Euroland: Industrial production, ZEW index, and Sentix index of investor sentiment.

Members of the Euro Area: German revised CPI, ZEW index and index of leading economic indicators. French, Italian, Spanish, Finnish, Greek and Portuguese consumer prices. Italian and Finnish industrial output. Dutch retail sales and trade balance. Irish construction PMI.

U.K. and Switzerland: British same store sales, CPI, PPI, RPI, ONS index of home prices, labor statistics, RICs house  price balance index, and index of leading economic indicators. Swiss PPI and import prices.

Eastern Europe: Polish, Czech, Romanian and Hungarian consumer prices. Romanian and Hungarian industrial output. Polish current account.

Nordic Europe: Danish, Swedish and Norwegian consumer prices. Norway’s PPI.

Canada: Housing starts, home prices, and monthly survey of manufacturing sales, orders and inventories.

Mexico and Brazil: Mexican industrial output and trade balance. Brazilian retail sales.
